Young, healthy looking skin can be achieved… in moments

Dr Larsen's specialty is creating a fresh natural look for his patients by using Botox, Dysport and dermal fillers.

Is Botox Right for You?

In order for a muscle to contract it requires a nerve signal. Botox blocks this signal at the junction between a nerve and a muscle. When tiny amounts of botox are strategically injected under the skin it is able to eliminate undesirable wrinkles and expression lines.
Areas treated with botox include:

  • Forehead
  • Frown lines
  • Crows feet
  • Chin
  • Underarms (to decrease excessive sweating)
"I never ever thought I would use botox, but after seeing my best friend, I was sold, she looked 10 years younger and she had such a radiant glow… Now, I do too! Thanks Dr. Larsen."

What to Expect

Dr. Larsen provides patients with a free in-depth consultation where all questions and concerns will be answered. Every measure is taken to ensure patients have a relaxing, virtually pain free experience. 90% of our patients report no pain at all and no sign of treatment. After treatment with botox, patients will begin to see their wrinkles smooth in 2-4 days. It takes 2 weeks for the full effect of botox to take effect. Botox usually lasts 3-6 months.

Things to Know

Botox does not work on all wrinkles. It is most effective in the upper third portion of the face. Botox only works on wrinkles that are intensified with the contraction of muscles of facial expression. For example: eyebrows, forehead and crowsfeet. Botox will not work on deep lines resultant from sagging skin such as deep lines around the mouth and under the eye. These deeper facial lines require a dermal filler to regain a youthful appearance.

Botox has been used by humans for 35 years and continues to grow in popularity. Millions of people have used botox and found it safe, yet the effects are subtle, natural and improved. Do not use Botox if you are pregnant (due to a lack of empirical evidence to support its safety) or have any of the following conditions:

  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, and Lambert-Eaton syndrome.
  • There is a slight chance of bruising especially if you naturally bruise easily and if you take any of the following: aspirin, Motrin, vitamin E, Ginkgo and glucosamine.

How Much Botox Will I Need?

The amount of Botox used on a patient depends on the severity of the wrinkles and the strength of the facial muscles. During your initial consult, Dr. Larsen will be able to give you an accurate approximation. All botox and dermal filler injections are performed by Brent L. Larsen M.D.
